Watch theatre’s future perform theatre’s past in SGCNZ’s Rotorua/Lakes Regional University of Otago Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival (UOSWSF)!

Secondary school students from the Rotorua and Lakes region breath fresh life in the lines of the brilliant Bard, who died exactly 400 years ago! Groups from schools from all over the region come together and perform 5- and 15-minute excerpts from Shakespeare plays.  The energy and enthusiasm of those young creative minds will blow you away, and their sometimes novel and radical interpretations of these old plays might surprise even the most knowledgeable Shakespeare expert.
